Malak embarked on her career with Al Tamimi & Company six years ago. She is qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales. Fluent in both Arabic and English, she has worked on disputes concerning construction, corporate/commercial, development, energy, and telecommunications matters. She has assisted in matters seated in the UAE under a variety of rules, including, ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, and ADCCAC rules, as well as ad hoc proceedings. Malak is listed in the Euromoney Guide to Leading Commercial Arbitration Experts 2021.
Malak was awarded a Bachelor of Law from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. She completed a Master of Law in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution from the University of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and a Master of Law in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law, United Kingdom.
Malak has published widely on international dispute resolution, and is a Country Reporter for the UAE for the Institute of Transnational Arbitration Board of Reporters (Kluwer Arbitration).
