Amna is an Associate in the Banking & Finance practices in Al Tamimi & Company’s Kuwait office.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Amna had three years of experience advising on corporate commercial and construction matters in Pakistan. She has also published several articles and one book on Pakistan’s Supreme Court history.

  • Part of the team advising Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait in a USD 600 million syndicated term loan facility.
  • Part of a team advising a Singaporean lender in a USD 100,000,000 term loan facility transaction to a Kuwait borrower.
  • Advised Barclays Bank (Monaco branch) on a EUR 2,800,000 guarantee issued by a Kuwait guarantor.
  • Part of a team advising the lender on the granting of a KD100,000,000 Murabaha facility to a Kuwaiti borrower.
  • Advised several Kuwait banks in transactions related to LIBOR to Term SOFR transition.
  • Advised funds and investment companies on regulatory matters including marketing and offering of financial and investment products on a cross-border basis.
  • Part of a team acting as legal counsel for two power producers in respect of establishment and operation of 12 and 18 MW solar generation power projects in Punjab.
  • Advised on corporate restructuring of company operating educational institutions across Pakistan, including extensive due diligence of the company and its assets and liabilities.
  • Part of a team advising the lender in respect of a Term Finance Facility of PKR 400,000,000/- being issued to a leading oil & gas E & P company for the development of new fields in Pakistan.
  • Advising the lender in connection with USD 200,000,000/- finance facilities extended to a leading Pakistani commercial bank.
  • Advised the client on a series of million-dollar construction contracts, including setting up of two recovery plants on design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) basis, and construction of civil works along with design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of hydraulic steel, mechanical and electrical works, on a lump-sum basis for a multi-purpose dam project.
