Biography

Christine Khoury a Senior Counsel in Al Tamimi and Company’s office based in Al Riyadh.

Christine  is a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with over 15 years of experience advising domestic and international companies in the Middle East. Her practice focuses on the TMT sector and has vast experience in commercial, contracts and corporate work.

Christine advises several Saudi governmental entities on media, tech and telecommunications regulations and advised a number of IT clients on legal issues related to e-commerce, data protection, cybersecurity and intellectual property legislations.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Christine was a principal associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department of Eversheds Sutherland, working in UAE.

  • Advising a major self-driving car company on data privacy issues, data mapping and cross border transfer.
  • Advising on data privacy and protection with focus on cross border transfer related transactions within the region and globally.
  • Advising international tech and digital platform clients on data privacy and protection in light on the recent developments in the region (in particular the issuance of Saudi, Emirati, Omani Data Protection Laws).
  • advising a major American tech company on AI regulations, strategies and initiatives and impact of the use of AI tools across the region;
  • drafting an AI whitepaper shedding the light on the benefits of using AI systems and solutions across many sectors mainly, financial and banking, insurance, and capital markets.
  • advising a major digital content service provider on UAE gambling regulations and potential liabilities in line with the General Commercial Gambling Regulatory Authority by laws;
  • Advising a Saudi governmental body on the restructuring and renegotiation of a strategic digitization project.
