Imad is an Associate in the Innovation & Patents practice, based out of KSA. He comes with a legal background and qualifications, and is a qualified lawyer in Lebanon.
Imad assists clients in relation to the protection, commercialization and enforcement of innovation, patents, and industrial property (3IP) rights in the Middle East and GCC, including patents, utility models, industrial designs, trade secrets, breach of confidentiality, and copyright.
Imad focuses on 3IP commercial transactions and works closely with our corporate teams in the frame of corporate commercial transactions such as joint venture transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Imad assists in negotiating and drafting technology transfer agreements, licensing and commercialization agreements, revenue sharing agreements, confidentiality agreements, research agreements, and R&D agreements and others.
Imad also assists in 3IP litigation and enforcement matters and works closely with our litigation teams in the frame of contentious matters. Imad assists in handling disputes pertaining to breach of confidentiality, IP ownership, patent infringement, industrial design infringement, copyright infringement and others. He supports in managing and handling complex litigation cases before the relevant Courts including developing strategies and choosing the best course of action against infringers, and preparing bilingual court memorandums in conjunction with our technical consultants and litigation team.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Imad was an associate with over 13 years of international and local experience in intellectual property and commercial law.
