Biography
Jincy is an Associate in the Innovation, Patents & Industrial Property (3IP) practice, based in Dubai.
Jincy, a qualified Indian Patent Agent, is also a post-graduate Electronics and Communications Engineer, having over 7 years of experience in the field of innovation, R&D and industrial property, managing IP assets for clients, enabling them to create smarter patent portfolios.
Jincy deals primarily with drafting Patent applications (PCT, Non-Provisional / Regular and Provisional patent applications), Utility models and preparing Industrial Design applications as well as in Prosecution of patent applications. She also handles patent prosecution for engineering and technical inventions worldwide, and has expertise in Infringement analysis, Invalidation searches, advising on patentability and freedom-to-operate searches.
Jincy is a member of the firm’s Metaverse working group and has authored a number of articles to Al Tamimi’s Law Update, being experienced in multiple sectors including TMT, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Agriculture, Transportation, Financial Services, and Healthcare.

- Conducting patentability searches, drafting patent applications, filing and prosecuting inventions for a national oil & gas company
- Filing and prosecuting major inventions related to cooling apparatuses for electronic devices, circuit breaker devices, electrical switching devices, converter circuits and power distribution systems in the GCC countries for a Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation
- Drafting Patent applications (PCT and Non-Provisional patent applications) for an international sustainable agriculture-based company
- Conducting Patentability searches, providing Patentability opinions, Drafting and filing Patent applications and conducting Patent Prosecution for top tier Universities (which include Khalifa University of Science and Technology, United Arab Emirates University, University of Sharjah, Zayed University and Al Ghurair University), as well as for local, regional and foreign clients
- Drafting Utility Model applications for a regional start-up company
- Assisting innovators in the clean energy sector in the 3IP protection and IP licensing of their innovations in the GCC, including wind turbine systems, solar systems, clean water desalination systems, and others
- Assisting Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA) in assessing patentability of inventions pertaining to electrical systems including photovoltaic modules / panels, carbon nanotubes and solar energy systems
- Assisting Hyperloop Technologies Inc. in the protection of their transport and energy related innovations in the GCC
- Advising a governmental innovation incubator about various legal aspects related to innovation projects
