The leading law firm in the Middle East and North Africa has elected Jody Waugh as its next Managing Partner. Jody has been at Al Tamimi & Company for over 16 years where he has served as Partner, Head of Banking & Finance, and Deputy Managing Partner. He will commence his term as Managing Partner on 1 January 2024.
Jody joined Al Tamimi & Company in 2007 to lead the firm’s Banking & Finance practice across the Middle East and North Africa. Under his leadership, the practice has become a regional leader with an unrivaled reputation. He was appointed Deputy Managing Partner in January 2020 and has since worked closely with management and his fellow Partners to position Al Tamimi & Company as the leading law firm in the region.
The incoming Managing Partner counts some of the region’s leading banks and financial institutions among his clients. He is a highly respected practitioner whom Legal 500 describes as ‘technically excellent and diligent’.
Jody succeeds Samer Qudah who has been leading the firm since 2019. Samer will continue as Partner and will head the firm’s Corporate Structuring practice.
